We’ve been successful in our legal practice for 40 years. The firm was founded in 1984 as a civil partnership and in 2020 it was re-organized under its present corporate form as an LLC. Our combined experience, acquired over four decades, and our vast network of resources enable us to provide the highest quality representation available. DTS has often been the firm of choice for many national law firms when selecting local counsel to assist them in defending or prosecuting complex cases in Puerto Rico. In addition to providing its support staff of highly skilled paralegals and legal assistants, DTS provides state of the art facilities, equipment and office space for visiting counsel and clients. DTS was the first local firm to achieve internal paperless filing and archiving. We were precursors in offering OCR high-speed scanning, wi-fi connection for visitors at T3 broadband speeds and a complete State & Federal National online library. At DTS we pride ourselves for having a rewarding environment for career development, with numerous opportunities for training and advancement. Most of our present-day partners started as associates or as of counsel. All our paralegals and legal assistants have a four-year university degree and have at least ten years of experience. Some have gone on to study law. Most have been with us for well over 10 years and one has been with us for 35 years. Our paralegals and legal assistants work closely with the attorneys in all practice areas and are a vital and fundamental part of our firm.
